Laura Hudson is a freelance journalist and editor who writes about about entertainment, technology and culture, especially digital media, video games, television, comic books, online harassment and feminism. She is a former senior editor at WIRED and founded and edited the Eisner Award-winning website ComicsAlliance. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, Slate, FiveThirtyEight, TIME, BBC, Vulture, Complex and The LA Times.

Hudson writes a column called “If Then Next” at FiveThirtyEight that focuses on algorithms and artificial intelligence.
