After deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan with the U.S. Army and National Guard, Joshua Childress took a job as an agent of the U.S. Border Patrol. He spent seven years in Arizona, catching border crossers—but after becoming convinced of the libertarian position on immigration, he felt obligated to resign.

Childress has been a guest on Thaddeus Russell’s Unregistered podcast and Libertarianism.org’s Free Thoughts podcast. He is the subject of an interview and video essay at Reason and his writing has appeared at The Daily Beast.
