Lionel Tiger is the Charles Darwin Professor of Anthropology at Rutgers University. He is the author of books including The Imperial Animal, The Pursuit of Pleasure, and The Decline of Males, and has been extensively published in both the scholarly and popular press.

Tiger has been a consultant with the U.S. Department of Defense and at many private corporations, and he is the co-Research Director of the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation. He received his BA from McGill University and his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics.
