Philip Jenkins is professor of history and religious studies at Pennsylvania State University. A prolific scholar, Jenkins has published twenty books, about a hundred book chapters and refereed articles, and over a hundred book reviews. His recent books include The New Faces of Christianity: Believing the Bible in the Global South (Oxford University Press, 2006), Decade of Nightmares: The End of the Sixties and the Making of Eighties America (Oxford University Press, 2006), Dream Catchers: How Mainstream America Discovered Native Spirituality (Oxford University Press, 2004), The Next Christendom: The Rise of Global Christianity (Oxford University Press, 2002).
