Lane Kenworthy is a Professor of Sociology and Political Science at the University of Arizona. His work focuses on the causes and consequences of poverty, inequality, mobility, employment, economic growth, and social policy in the United States and other affluent countries.

Kenworthy is the author of Egalitarian Capitalism: Jobs, Incomes, and Growth in Affluent Countries (2004) and Jobs with Equality (2008). He received his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and his B.A. in sociology from Harvard University.
